While, Thirimanna became the youngest Sri Lankan Player to score a World Cup century Sangakkara scored his fastest (100 in 70 balls) ODI century. Thirimanna scored 100 in 117 balls in 39th over when the total score of Sri Lanka was 228/1 at Wellington, New Zealand.
